It isn't quite what I wished I had known, rather I wish that I had simply trusted in the calorie model provided here. I spent so long worrying about the weight I had gained and the thought of eating over 3000 calories, time I could have put to better use towards something productive.
I wish I had put my worries to rest and embraced all of the amazing information here on 30BaD. Everything you need is provided here and in the 80/10/10 book.
I would say don't obsess about greens to begin with. I was so concerned when I first went on 811 a couple of years ago about getting copious amounts of greens in and while for some this is okay, but I was/am coming from having a very comprimised digestive system that couldn't handle the volume. Therefore I was not able to get in the amount of calories from fruit each day. I gave up on the lifestyle because of my obsession with greens.
By the way I am in no means saying that greens aren't important. They are. But in the beginning I think its more important to get enough calories in from fruit THEN focus on the greens.
Also make sure to eat calorie dense fruits as the majority over the lower calorie fruits. Its much easier to get in x amount of bananas/mangoes/dates than it is to get in melons etc.
