I am not sure what you mean by ''your mouth feels bland"?
I'm curious too.
Can you clarify with some more descriptives, David?
???????????????? what? did this used to happen when you ate fruit? is this your first time eating fruit?
Like I get a weird dry taste afterwards. Plus my teeth get this weird flim like after I make a banana smoothie. I also feel like I'm always thirsty too. I'm always drinking lots of water.
Well the weird film on the teeth indicates to me that your fruit is not ripe enough.
How to drink:
Yea, the water thing is important too. Durianrider advises people to make sure they are hydrated and peeing clear before eating fruit. If you are dehydrated, it can be difficult to chew, swallow, and digest fruit.
It is not only important how much water you drink, but when you drink it too.
I like to drink about 30 minutes before a meal, and then not again until 1-2 hours post meal.
Here is a blogpost by DR:
Water can also wash away any build up and detoxing process going on in the mouth that can coat and block the taste buds.
Oh yeah I can't stand unripe fruit.
I actually know what you're talking about. I think this is the adaption to the sugar. Its creating a film or coating I think this is what fixed my cavaties when I first started I was experiencing a lot pain then it just went away. And I have an associate's degree in business.....soooooo......I'm pretty sure I know what I am talking about. Hahahaha. I am SO lost out here its not even funny. :l
Really? If that's true I sure hope it does go away.
Your lucky DD, most people cant handle the social disapproval from their redneck friends or the situational inconvenience of living in a fast food world where big mac cals are cheaper and easier to get than fruity cals.
Sounds like your on a winner.
This used to bother me but I'm to the point now I realize it's just their own fears that their trying to project onto me.
First of all, make sure you are eating ripe fruits. Unripe fruits are not attractive, and can taste repulsive too. Ripe fruits are beautiful and attractive to our eyes, smell wonderful, are soft to our touch, taste good, and, well you get the picture, have the same appeal as a beautiful woman.
To get your mouth clean, eat some leafy greens even if you do not like the taste. They will clean your teeth and gums, and also help remineralize your teeth if you have any of those issues.
Try to give this diet about one week going 100% and then see how you feel. If someone's body is highly toxic, sometimes tastes can be perverted. Also eating a high fat diet can coat the cells of the body causing some tissues not to work right, so your sense of smell might be numb, and your tastes buds not operating 100%.
I predict that within 2-3 days, your sense of smell will become more keen, and you will like the way fruit smells. This in turn will help in your taste process. Once your body starts getting cleaned out, you will come to appreciate how each fruit tastes. You will even be able to taste the salt in oranges and tomatoes! Trust me, a few weeks ago, I had one orange I almost could not finish because it tasted so salty!
Thank you for your thorough answer. I will give these steps a try.
