I read this book years ago and when we moved to Bulgaria (our house only had an outside hole in the ground type toilet) I managed to convince my boyfriend it would be a good idea and easier than plumbing in an indoor toilet, we are now using the compost from the first heap and it is really good, it is so suprising how nice it turned out.
We will never get a "normal" toilet put in now, what would be the point, why waste all that money and great compost!
Yes we do. Living out on a farm in the woods, it wouldn't make much sense not to do. For us it's not so much about saving water than not wasting valuable input for the garden.
Well, I believe in it definitely, but cannot do that right now:(
In nature animals drop it where ever they are. In some tribal and primitive cultures, people would dig a small hole, do their business, and bury it.
This is part of the beautiful cycle of a fruitarian life. The trees feed us and we feed, or at least should be feeding them.
Thanks everyone for your replies!!!!!
