Sorry if this has been asked recently!
I love fruit, and its all i ever want to eat. I dont crave greens but i know i must have them so i try and force down a small salad (1/2 head lettuce and a few toms) every day if i can, but i really need to find more exciting ways of eating my greens without doing a smoothie.
Ive had lettuce chopped with nectarines and peached, and also with mango which was nice ( a lil messy!)
and my personal fave, dates rolled up on lettuce leaves (thanks DR for that 1!)
what other ideas do you have for making salad a little less of a chore?
Honestly, I will enjoy any greens any time if I add fat to them. This wouldn't mean that I crave greens - just that I crave a substitute for a cooked dish.
The trick is to wait and discover your natural craving for plain greens.
Nothing will happen if you give yourself some time.
these are great ideas, thanks guys and gals :)
Has anyone tried banana wrapped up on a lettuce leaf?
i love to make a smoothie of bananas , mangos and spinach
i use like 4-5 bananas 1-2 mangos and so much spinach that my bf looks at me like im crazy. its sooo smooth. probably why they call it a smoothie lol
Get a copy of 80/10/10 and there is many salad recipes in there.
Victoria Boutenko has a green smoothie book that has around 200 GS recipes.
Both Fred Patenaude and Roger Haeske have great green soup/stew recipes that can be adjusted to the individuals ingredient preferences.
