I'm thinking that I want to get blood work done but I haven't been to a GP for over a decade and wouldn't know where to start with that, nor am I interested. I don't think a general physical would lead me to a blood write up either. I have very very basic health insurance in NJ. I've seen labs around and have had to get drug screening done before, but wouldn't know what to request.
Is there already a thread on this? I searched around the site for a bit, but didn't locate any specifics on what kind of tests or where to go.....
thanks for any input !
One possibility to look into is Life Extension. It's a nonprofit group regarding health care...
They sell a lot of supplements but I know you can get blood work done there as often as you'd like- for a fraction of the cost of regular labs. And they have staff to help talk to you about the results I believe.
Their website is http://www.lef.org/
Hope that helps :)
This company has the most comprehensive tests offered without a doctor, this site was recommended to me by a friend.
