HI! How are you?
So I recently discovered 30BaD on youtube and have recently been trying to go raw (what a coincidence!) lol. I Love fruits but I have an issue with some fruits (like bananas) being far too mushy for me. I try eating a banana, by just peeling it, everyday but I can only get maybe half way through before being too grossed out to finish it.
I do like frozen bananas, though, and can also eat them if I mash them up and spread them on a big leaf and make a wrap.
I was curious if anyone had any other ideas on how I can eat a banana. Otherwise trying to eat a ton of them each day if going to be pretty impossible for me.
Oh and here is a total newb question. I know that cooking foods is against the rules, I get that. But is freezing them? In nature we arent going to have frozen foods but we also wouldnt have a crisper to keep them fresh. So if we can put them in the fridge shouldnt we be allowed to put them in the freezer?
Im only in chapter 3 of the 80/10/10 diet. So forgive me if some of this is answered in the book. Like I said, I am a total newb.
Blend the banana's with other fruits specifically berries. That will help you be able to consume banana's easier.
I also personally only eat max 10 bananas a day. WIth the rest of my calories coming from a large variety of fresh fruit.
Also freezing banana's is fine a lot of members eat frozen banana turned into ice cream :)
I love bananas but if they are not ripe enough I can't eat more than 1-2 at a time. But they go down easily if I put them in smoothies with oranges and dates (though some say that oranges don't mix well with bananas. Or is it with dates ?)
Yeah, sweet fruit doesn't get along with acid fruit very much :) Bananas with dates or greens should be fine.
I like blending bananas with grape juice. Green smoothies (bananas and your choice of greens) is never a bad idea either.
