O'kay so I was highly embarrased today. I had to do a 24 hour urine collection to test my creatine & cortisol levels. When I went to get the collection jug, I was astounded by the size of it. I had to ask for another one knowing that I would never fit it all in there. Well... after collecting yesterday I actually couldn't even fit it in two of them. I collected between 7-9 liters of urine. The girls at the lab were astounded... I must have been their first.
So now I'm wondering if there is something wrong with me... I'm not raw by any means... however, one day I'd like to be. But yesterday was a very low fruit day, however I did have a bowl of veggie soup. I am a vegan and I drink water only... I'm constantly drinking.
So can you tell me how much you pee... I'm wondering if I should be seeing my doctor?
Ten times a day is nothing for me. More like 15 times actually. Plus about three times at night.
How may liters this results in I don´t know though.
I'm actually having trouble with too much urination at the moment, if anyone has more information on that. I've been getting out of bed like 8+ times a night. I drink bout a 1 - 1.5 gallons a day. just cut out salt completely last week, but the problem has been for a while longer than that. ??
I generally go 8 to 10 times in a 24 hour period. It seems like a lot of people on this website really push drinking a lot of water but, from experience, I know it can be dangerous. I used to drink way too much water and the results were not fun. Of course it is important to stay hydrated but you should never drink more than a liter of water per hour.
I've been Vegan since early May 2011. In May of this year I began trying to do lots of fruit... so some days it would be fruit up to supper and then I'd have a regular cooked vegan meal. I do drink a LOT also... and always have. I'm constantly thirsty. So yesterday just to be on the safe side I saw my doctor and mentioned it. Then I asked if I had been tested for Magnesium Levels... and I had not. A magnesium deficiency can cause lethargy, lots of urinations, heart palpitations, and other symptoms... I have all the ones I mentioned... so it's not a bad idea to check. She is also checking calcium, and a few others. Hopefully all is well.
Ah, that makes sense. In my case I was never big on salt as we never had it growing up due to my dad having a bad heart. And now I buy only salt free products when buying my cooked vegan products. So it's not that. I'll update once I hear back from the doctor.
I try to drink a full 5litre bottle a day, which should mean I pee that much, roughly.
