I found that I need more than 3 meals a day. Physically I cannot hold enough food/calories in one sitting with only 3 meals. It is painful. I seem to do better on 5 meals per day spread out. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
If you need more meals, do more meals. Some graze all day, others swear by 2-3 meals (some even just one!). While fewer meals probably is better for dental health and likely more practical for many, I doubt it is easier on the digestive system. I have tried both and certainly enjoy grazing more. Digestion-wise I have noticed no difference, I just like to graze and never think about preparing meals, cleaning up etc.
grazing is a great word! I always called it nibbling, but it is really grazing. Especially since it is raw vegan. I thought I might have been doing something wrong. But I see form the comments that everyone need to listen to their bodies. thank you.
I'm like you, I need at least 5 meals spread out. I seem to get hungry every 3 ours or so. Like stomach growling hungry, it is weird because when I eat the SAD I eat once or twice a day, but almost never experience stomach growling, but will still eat too much.
Stomach growling doeasn't mean you are hungry, it means it's getting empty. And empty stomack is not a bad thing at all. On SAD diet you would consume faty food that would keep your stomack busy for a long time.
