You could eat up to 8000cals a day if you feel like it. If you want more, eat more! Remember that they induced starvation at 1570cals for grown men that are sedentary in Dr Keys 'Minnesota experiement'.
Regarding carb cals in gengeral, eat more if you want to keep increasing your fitness, life passion and well being. Eat less if you want less in life.
The day before a talk I 'force' in more carb cals just so I can 'give more' at the talk the next day. Nothing worse than a boring speaker that is undercarbed! lol!
