a 7 banana, lots of spinach, and 2 medjool date smoothie took me an hour and 15 mins to drink yesterday.....and that was when i never put it down on the table and kept drinking!
Does it take you a rediculously long time?! does it get shorter the longer youve been on this lifestyle to gulp down big smoothies? thanks fruitys :)
I drink a 13 date, 4 banana, and a couple strawberry smoothie in like 10-15 minutes...
That might be waayy too fast though lol
maybe its easier/faster to drink that because u have majority dates and not big nanners?
It takes me the better part of an hour. I can't get it in faster because my bananas are usually frozen and if I drink fast I get brain-freeze LOL
lol o ya i know what you mean! frozen anything takes way longer!
frozen is not like trying to digest fresh fruit. i find that frozen can give me stomach cramps. even when i am having an otherwise easy time digesting everything else.
I can do a 15 banana smoothie in 30 minutes after a workout. If it is on a rest day, it may take me 45 minutes to an hour. Mango and papaya smoothies tend to take a tad longer.
Long mealtimes are part of this lifestyle and are unavoidable unless you eat more than 3 meals in a day, or right after a workout. In nature we would be hanging out around fruit trees, gorging ourselves everyday. Fortunately, if you can't devote this time to chomp on huge fruit meals you can bring the fruit trees with you in smoothie containers.
thanks! maybe once my stomach/taste buds get more adjusted i could drink faster
wow i hope to get up to your speed eventually!
A 56 ounce smoothie takes me anywhere from 30-60 mins. depending if I just got done working out and am thirsty. It's good to drink at least 8 ounces of water before and even more while drinking the smoothie to ward of belly ache. If you can't handle the volume, downgrade nanners and up your dates.
