I have just started this lifestyle and I am really enjoying it. Although I have only been on it for about a week and a half so far, I find that I am already feeling really good. With meat in my diet, I would feel really sick and less energized. I now feel extremely energized and happier than before. Although I am not overweight, I am on the higher side of normal. I would like to lose 25 pounds total. So how long did it take you to feel better on the vegan lifestyle, and how long did it take you to lose the weight? I am very interested in hearing all of your stories! I am sure it will be of great inspiration to me!
If you want to lose 25 pounds you should stay a Raw WF Vegan for life. I would guess it would take 15 to 20 weeks to lose 25 lbs if you're not eating refined sugars and aren't working out hardcore.
I've been losing 1 lb to 1 1/2 lbs a week.
I felt great within 3 days of starting this diet. :) I posted yesterday saying I had lost 6/7 lbs in 6 days but today I weighed myself and realized I lost 10 lbs in 7 days!
I didn't come from calorie restriction (vegetarian for 20 years. mostly healthy foods but lots of fat too). I'm just regular sized but petite but I like to be on the slim side so I still have weight to lose. I reckon it will slow down now, as some of this was surely water weight. Also, I will say- I want this BADLY. I want a good bikini body so when I started this diet I threw myself into working out. I walk several miles each morning with my dogs and do cardio 2-3 times daily for 15 minutes each time. And I follow the raw till 4 to a T. Mostly mono eating (breakfast and lunch) and rice or gluten free pasta or potatoes for dinner. 2000-2500 calories a day.
I think your weight loss time frame will depend on how active you are. From what I understand if you aren't very active, losing a lb a week is probably still very likely! :) If you want to speed it up though just go on walks.
I felt health with my fist 10 banana smoothie
After 14 months my weight began to drop quickly muscles & bones veins began to appear bye bye fat !
I was a 2 cup of coffee a day person who under- ate for many many years
Yeah, you might lose weight on this lifestyle while being sedentary, but for me I feel the lifestyle is not complete without exercise. So yeah, if you wanna get the weight off then I recommended not using this lifestyle as a cheat to just sit around all day. If you follow the rawtill4 guidelines, and starting exercising, I imagine you'll see improvement within the first two weeks honestly.
Thank you for all of the feedback guys! I love your stories. I do exercise regularly now that college is out for the summer. Hopefully I can start losing weight soon, but even if I can't, at least I am feeling good =)
