30 Bananas a Day!

The "end of the day" seems to be pretty rough for a lot of people when it comes to lifestyle and diet. People make poor food choices or drink alcohol or take drugs. Or just sit staring at the TV for hours.


How do you occupy your time in those last few hours of the day? It's dark, you've done all your workouts, you've eaten and washed up... then what? I'm curious to know because this is my first winter lfrv and it's often dark and too cold to get outdoors in the evening. I find myself at a bit of a loss of what to do if I'm having a night in and have the place to myself. Especially on a weeknight when friends might not want to socialise if they have work the next day.


Maybe I need a hobby! Anyway, just drumming up some ideas =)

In the UK we use the verb 'to potter'. It means noodling around, sorting things out, nothing in particular. I potter in the evenings! I put on some comfy clothes and usually listen to the radio at the same time. I'm hooked to it - sometimes music, sometimes stories, sometimes documentaries. It feels good to not have any comittments!
Oooh, excellent topic--this is a main issue for me! I love hearing everyone's evening activities. And blueberries or grapes and movies is such a simple but great idea.
Im so thrashed by living hardcore during the day that I look forward to recharging in bed and doing it all again the next day..

Its 7:50pm and Im off to bed. :) These early starts are THRILL'N me! :)
Textual Healing. When I get that feeling - I get Textual Healing.

I read lots of texts. It gets me high as a kite.

Early nights are the most appreciated. Late nights are useless. I just gotta realise that in 10-12 hours i'll be up again - getting stuff done. I imagine i am Tom Bombadillo from Lord of the Rings and that I am a simple forest man with no motives in life - so i have absolutely no reason to think about anything before i go to sleep. I think best when waking up anyway.

If you have insomnia - 15 minute walk - a good remedy.
I like to read ... first my favourite site, 30bad, then I read some spiritual texts to fill my heart before bed.
I also meditate and do some brain entrainment, as I lay on a chest opening wooden 'bridge' for half an hour... yeah! this sounds like in the age of inquisition ;-), but it feels amazing to sleep with a nice wide open ribcage, relaxed back muscles.
Weekend nights are the only movie nights, and I used to really fall off the wagon here, but blueberries or grapes sound so much better than my previous choices.
