Since I'm the one who cooks food in my house, sometimes the smells can be very tasty for me. Surely I'm never hungry while I'm cooking, but still I'd like to be totally indifferent to those smells as I became indifferent to cinnamon taste, even so I liked it very much before and I think that the appeal of cinnamon's aroma was much more of psycological aspect for me as I associated it with holiday times , with sweet taste of cakes and bisquits in general and now is nothing for me, just like parfume. I'd like other smells to be the same to me like that one of a cinnamon.
Do you experience something like that?
I've heard it such reactions on smells happens during the first year of going raw or even the first years and then it becomes totally like parfume.
also I have to mention that as many people here I've got over-sensitive to smells of whatever kind. Once I was walking, it was a bit chilly outside( so you can distinguish many different smells around) and a school boy chewing a chewing gum was coming in an opposite direction just about 5-7 meters far from me and I could feel the fruity smell of his chewing gum:)
i really love the smell.. it makes me crave it a little but i just remind myself that the smell is always better than the taste of it.
I enyoe the smell actually :)
what kind of food do you cook? is it all vegan? coz as for non-vegan food smells I cant bear them too
I faint and vomit, sometimes both - simultaneously.
I am British, so a big fan of chips (what Americans would call British-style fries). I live now in Holland, right near to a "Friet" shop, which is pretty much like normal chips, but with their amazing curry sauce (AH, just realised that would make a great present for my dad...!). The smell is really tempting when I have been more gourmet raw or veg-based, or hungry, and doesn't affect me at all if I have had enough fruit.
I like the smells of cooked food. I often feel like I can get the best of the essence of the food from the smell... but feel heavy, sluggish, and sick if I eat it. Smelling it, I enjoy and appreciate. I just have re-registered in my brain that this isn't the food that makes me feel supremely awesome.
the same here. I liked the smell of coffee but never drank it, because of repulsive taste :)
the same with meat, onion and at last garlic ( recently I ve started dislike the smell of it ), also eggs especially boiled are terrible.
I have to plug my nose
