30 Bananas a Day!

How do you explain Questions like "What are all this Fruit for ?"

I bought a a lot of Apple from the farm today, it was Baking apple, this one are cheapest ones are most ripe, but still good looking. There are non organic, but mostly better looking then from the organic supermarket the Baking Apple Sale. I think directly from farm is better tab just than organic. How do you think about this ?

The guy in the farmers shop asked me what I want to do with all this, if I want to make marmalade with it ?

I answered something like, "I eat a fruit based diet and until yet I bought most in Supermarket, but its too expensive for me an I like to buy local" The guy must think I am crazy.

It´s  a bit embarrassing .....

What do you answer to this question ? Saying that you eat a high carb diet, because you do a lot of sports ? I am not sure if anyone this understand....

People looking strange when I carried around all this fruit.

Why do you care what people say or think about you? :)

don't worry what others think of you. just be a living example of health, joy and love in everything you do. shine and radiate health and people will respond accordingly. the most determining factor of ealth is our state of mind, not our diet. there is nothing more crucial than emotional poise.

be yourself, because if we are not ourselves then we are nothing.

most people i tell are very interested and some try it

@sunshine

What are you telling them about it?

you tell them from this website ?

Because I am the picture of health and radiate joy no one ever asks me anymore.  They just smile broadly and we exchange greetings.  Honest.  LOL

If you mean the apples were pesticide free that is just great.  You'd better be 100% sure of what the farmer uses and get straight answers.  They want to sell their product as #1 goal.  Ask questions before buying.  Know your farmer!

Growing your own is best.

Buying from local ORGANIC farmers is almost as good.

Buying from local pesticide, herbicide, chemical free is very good.

Buying organic from the stores and supporting the movement is great.

Buying commercial and supporting the toxic overload and slow killing of our planet and people is simply aiding and abetting.

Maybe you´re right. I do not know what he uses and if he would tell what exactly.

Do you really think they tell you all or show what he uses ?

He is definitely not organic and uses different pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and another group.

in that case give him a 2nd hand copy of Silent Spring ;),   yes i tell people anything i know information wants to be free

Maybe I can send them an email, then I have something written rather than if he just tells me

You have to figure out what questions to DIRECTLY ask him before he can answer them.  Buyer beware!

So, do some research with growers in your area with the produce you are purchasing from the farmer.  Also go on the net and find out what they use in raising their commercial product.

I am fine on buying local pesticide free produce and accepting gifts from my friends gardens who know my standpoint.  I will not eat any raw food from anyone unless I know it is organic, local grower pesticide free, or grown same in their own garden.

Anyway mabye he had told me maybe not, I can trust or not. I only knew that he uses all this pesticides groups like herbicides, fungicides .... and that it is not organic anyway. Only this Neem Oil http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neem_oil  , but he didn´t mean that he would use only this, its only additional.

The most of the time I buy organic fruit, just thougt local with (maybe)  less peticides would be better.

I found a goverments Database with all in my country allowed pesticides, you can search for what use it is and other things. For Fruit growing alone, they are 437 different liquids allowed, it will be lot of work to find out for what it is.

You mean its better to do research and find out what pesticides normally used for my favourite "product" than trust and let tell me what i want hear.

I find a list for fruit growing, with all pesticides that are used , for what fruit and again which pest/vermin.

So I could ask "what do you use again that...?" or just know that he probably will use it and be aware of eating it.
