30 Bananas a Day!

I've also largely fallen off the raw wagon. But I've stayed vegan! And my first meal of the day is still a big banana smoothie!

But, since I lost my job I've been sitting around a lot and not paying too much attention to my health. That means sitting on my butt all day, almost every day, for nearly a year now! I don't drive and don't have any friends that live around me, so I've lost motivation to do much. And it doesn't help that I moved... and the grocery store closest to my house does sell me boxes of bananas... but the rest of their fruit and produce is crap! I'm talking flavorless strawberries and rubbery lettuce. So I really need to start shopping somewhere better.

Anyway, I remember when I used to get on here and read threads every day and it kept me motivated. So I thought I'd come back. And, I thought I'd say hello. :)

Hi Tryx, welcome back! I have fallen off and gotten back on so many times so I definitely know how you feel.

Have you tried raw till 4? It helps me sometimes as I have noticed in the past if I transitioned too fast, I will be right back to eating vegan junk foods. (I dont know if you eat vegan junk foods, but I sure did! Loved 'em)

I have tried raw till 4. It's nice when I'm low on money. But lately I've been back to eating junk foods. And they're good but they make me feel sooooo slow and crappy. I actually have transitioned overnight before... a few times! I've done a 30 day challenge quite a few times and done fine. My problem is, I never had enough money to keep doing 100% raw past 30 days! But I need to. I also need to get off of my butt. I gained a little bit of weight from sitting around, eating junk so now I feel squishy and gross. :( lol

I miss how I felt when I was 100% hcrv!!

Have you tried getting back into it with simply walking or biking? I am marathon training however I just injured myself last week so I try to at least walk my errands instead of taking the bus! :) Anything to be outside and moving is positive and will help you feel better mentally. :)

Anyway, have you thought about why you are craving what you are? I feel like I am the biggest X vegan junk food junkie. I loved veganized junk food!! Now for me eating celery really helps my salt cravings. I used to eat a lot of seitan and soy. To me that was comfort food. (I dont live in the US , but whenever I go home, I find myself eating vegan pizzas and veggie gyros etc. which won't happen next time hopefully!) It took me a looong time to really be conscious of why I was drawn to those foods and I have developed healthy raw alternatives to beat those cravings. When the craving hits, try blended greens, celery with fruit and see how you feel?

I have a little bit of anxiety with going out to walk by myself. Maybe if I invested in a bike it might not be so bad. Last time, I started out using a game called Wii Fit. Since my boyfriend has a Wii and other video game systems. But I can't find that game now!! My boyfriend will be getting the new xbox soon... I think I might see if there are any fitness games for that. ;) That will get me started!

I remember I used to use tomatoes to help with salt cravings. Not sure how that worked, but it did! I stopped eating them because I thought it was interfering with healing my eczema... but now my eczema is finally gone!! So I'll try adding tomatoes in again and see what happens. Celery is nice, too, so I'll probably stock up on that also. :)
