I have been 100% raw for the last 4-5 months and felt great, never had any cravings. But all of a sudden for the last week I just crave rice, even when it's not around.
I eat 2500 calories, most of which come from dates.
Please help! I don't want to give in.
You should try cauliflower rice!
I stay away from cruciferous veggies cause they don't digest well for me! haha. But I may give it a shot:)
So, I just want to say, I just ate 6 cups of rice with lettuce and low salt/fat sauce for dinner. In one sitting! And I feel amazing, I definitly have way more energy to train for marathons, and my depression is much much better. Carbing up is the answer for everything!
I've been doing this for the last couple of weeks. Getting in over 1000 extra calories from potato or rice, and i have not gained any weight. So, don't be afraid to eat all the cooked carbs you desire :)
Yes, i did do that, but the salad was low in carbs and calories. That was my issue. With marathon training I need all the carbs i can get, so for now i feel great eating cooked carbs :)
That's actually exactly what i have been doing! After waking i go for an hour run after drinking a few liters of water, then fruit, fruit, fruit, until dinner :)
A craving for starch can indicate parasitic involvement. I don't think dates are the lightest food source around so I wouldn't equate your cravings to not having enough food in your GI tract. Try switching your calorie source to something like bananas or mangoes and see if the cravings persist, if they do, you should look at some natural herbal formulas for microbial parasites.
