My name is Melissa, 26yo, and I am married and have 2 boys. We have been vegan for a few weeks now but are wanting to go HCRV.
We obviously are looking for tips and support. Also, we are most nervous about our kids. Their pediatrician says its not healthy to put them on the lifestyle...they don't even want them to be vegetarian!!!
We just want advice and help with this. And info on how this lifestyle effects children.
Welcome in Melissa!

Nothing personal against your pediatricians, but they are clearly uneducated regarding nutrition. That's no surprise--the average doc only accrues some 3-6 hours of total nutritional learning during all their years of study. I'd either look for a better informed one, or just agree that diet is not open for discussion.
That said, do track blood levels at least once or twice a year to observe nutritional patters and be aware of any deficiencies that may need to be addressed (this applies to youth as well as adults)
And to further your own education, because you will always be your own best doctor, carefully begin to study these links on how to live vegan healthfully:
Also, since I'm sure dairy will come up regularly in discussion, become well acquainted with this site for plenty of argument ammo:
Hope this helps :)
