30 Bananas a Day!

Sat Nam Fruity Friends...

Three days ago I fell off my bike and fractured my elbow and I'm lamenting the fact that I can no longer do my workouts... Does anyone have any workouts that I could do with no arm orrr have any advice for me to adjust my calorie consumption or specifically what I eat?

First rule: COMPLETE REST. For the injured arm at the very least. It behooves you to go to bed by 9:30 PM every night of course to speed recovery, and use common sense in diet. This is a perfect opportunity to get into even better shape, believe it or not, than bike riding. SQUATS BABY! EVen as a beginner and an injured elbow one at that, using just your bodyweight and doing two legged deep knee bends (BE SURE to get someone who knows EXACTLY What they are doing to show you how to do these correctly, especially how to begin. And then monitor your FORM. I am talking squats not "hindu squats" which are an abomination for sure, at least the way I have seen them done by everyone and their uncle!). 

A fracture takes a while to heal. But at least you did not tear a tendon- that would take much longer to return to normal. Face the fact that your biking days are over for at least several months. But make the best of it. In fact it is entirely possible and actually highly probable that in the next five or six months - if you focus on JUST a squat program, as simple as it MAY sound to you now- you will not believe the endurance, strength and body composition that you develop as a result of this one single exercise. The king of exercise can be your best friend while you recuperate. In fact it will help you recuperate much faster. Obviously a 100% raw (as close to it as you can... if you have summertime where you live then now is the easiest time for 80 10 10 as you know!)  fruitarian with greens and some veg added, together with proper sleep habits will heal you super fast. Just be very very very careful not to get antsy to get back on your bike. Don't do it. Make sure you get clearance from a trained professional first.

I'm tellin' ya-- the squats are not my personal opinion... To specialize on them (even though you will primarily be using only your bodyweight- unless you get strong enough to graduate to one-legged squats in a few months (don't push it and make sure you do them PERFECTLY since most people I have seen exercise videos on here should be ashamed of themselves when it comes to safe and productive exercise form!!!!!!!!! lol...) will produce such a fantasic "knock-on" effect that will actually generate better - yes BETTER fitness throughout your ENTIRE body than any other routine you ever did-- including PS 90 X-rated yada marketing  mumbo jumbo! - than you ever experienced in your life.. You will discover how simple- like this diet- the human body really is-- and that it is YOU and your dedication and focuse that is 99.99999% of this seemingly elusive thing we call fitness... 

So what would an example "squat workout" be like chris? I will be starting one tomorrow :) Thanks so much for the advice...
