30 Bananas a Day!

ok, i am having trouble with energy for working out and it hits me at about 4:30 pm every day, when i am thinking about leaving work and wanting to go workout. I cycle to work, its a 20 minute journey.

I suppose the obvioius answer is not enough calories, but heres my difficulty, i am having about 25-35 bananas a day, plus about 20-30 dates a day, i lose count as i just eat when i feel like it at my desk. I also have greens every day, usually in the evening and a smoothie in the evening. Also, usually i have been having a honeydew melon, either for breakfast or some time during the day at work, as well as the bananas. My job is not physical, i can walk around, but i am sitting most of the day at a computer, decent pay and not stressfull at all.

Also, by the time i am feeling this way, last thing i want is another banana or anything sweet, why is that? does anyone else get this? what do you do?

I am used to working out and running, and i really want to keep doing so, but like i say i am having no motivation by the time i get home. I saw the below excerpt posted on vegsource. Could it be i need ot stop excersing for a abit, but how long, and i don't want to stop working out, you know.

Couple this with all the other stuff its possible to read about with Raw etc, and it becomes a bit overwhelming.

"Along with starting the 811 program I joined a gym a month ago and started training again for the first time in years. I've just started reading Patenaude's Raw Secrets and he says that the initial detox can take between 4-8 months and "During this time it is imperative to sleep more, get plenty of rest and avoid hard physical exercise and mental stress until the energy starts to come
back naturally. From this point forward you can start exercising to build muscle and keep feeding yourself properly."

I guess reading Raw Secrets may shed light but if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Hi Dan,
i would say i'm not getting enough sleep, 8 hours max usually, sometimes only 7. so theres a good explanation right there

Hi derek,
well i have always been big on excersice, fromfootball to the gym and running etc. so its a pleasure to excersice for me, so getting a bit frustrated with the not feeling up to it. My reason to excersice is because i love it, and would much rather workout than be in front of the TV.

I have to sleep more i guess
8-7 hours is enough sleep if you want to be average. Me? I get so much sleep each night that here in Brisbane (2 million people) there is only a handful of cyclists that can beat me up a 10min climb. Maybe I should start eating, drinking and sleeping less so that any chopper can give me a workout instead of struggling to find fast training partners like I am now on a high calorie, high water and high sleep routine.

I rode 130km yesterday, ran 12km last night and have already done 100km this morn. It feels great to be one of the fittest dudes in a city of 2million people.
Hi DR,

Thanks for the pep talk. I guess i am not getting enough sleep, and maybe not enough calories sometimes, definately getting enough water though, 4 litres a day (distilled), i have always had 3 - 4 litres a day for the last 10 years.

Yep, i want to be doing an intense workout every day or an endurance workout and so this little blip has been really frustrating, but its all a learning curve i guess. Trouble is, when you hit a problem like this, little doubts can creep in and cause havoc.

Anyway, i am gonna stop attempting to work out for a few days and look to get 11-13 hours sleep a night for the next week or so then get back into it and continue with 10 plus hours sleep a night. I reckon that'll make a big difference. i may have been getting away with it a little bit up to now cus i was getting plenty of sunshine but thats gone for now.
