I'm a noob! This is my first time trying to eat durian. I got it in a box from a wholesaler. It was previously frozen. I (stupidly) thought it would ripen normally but now i'm thinking it won't.
I opened a few today. Please see photos below. Has this gone moldy on the inside? It seemed dry inside versus what I've seen online.
This is your first durian? It's looks pretty dark yellow, could be your camera though, the skin also looks dark brown which is generally good, greenish can be pre ripe and i prefer a golden brown, with these frozen ones at least. I keep them in my freezer then thaw them on this fan thing for like 3-8 hours once they are soft enough to pry open and not at all frozen it's good. I like em like slightly cooler and find that letting them sit around gives em a bad taste. I just finished my last one O_O where do you live?
