I think I'm getting some mold growing on my Bahri dates. They aren't all ripe and I'm afraid if I refrigerate them, they won't ripen. I'm afraid if I leave them on the counter closed in the box, they will all mold. There is a powdery black, charcoal substance that is starting to grow on some, mostly on the spot where the dates are attached to the stem. What should I do?
They need air. Don't leave them in the box. I would rub the mold off under water and air them out as soon as you can. I hang them up on the wall while I wait for them to ripen.
