Hi All, my daughter got me a "Kitchen Living Frozen Treat Maker" and I'm LOVING it-- it uses all of the Banana by pushing the fruit down the hole and it magically comes out soft serve Faux Ice Cream-- YUM!!
But I was wondering what interesting toppings or fruit varieties that anyone knows of to keep it interesting :)
Yes, the process does appear to be magic to me as well.
Any fruit that freezes well can be mixed in with the banana.
On this list I would include all types of berries, mangoes, papaya, peaches and nectarines.
Personally I like just plain old banana but when I do mix in other fruit the other fruits represent no more than a third of the total volume of the ice cream. It's hard to beat bananas as they have the ideal consistency to make ice cream.
A few chopped nuts can serve as a topping.
sounds good-- I find the frozen way helps me carb up more-- and the clean up is pretty simple :)
Thanks -- will sprinkle a few walnuts as I love the crunch, too :)
berry/date blend, pour over top, mmmm
like finely chopped strawberries and dates.. mashed together with a fork or food processor?
Yum! Thanks :)
