hey there! i saw on freelee's food combining video that dried fruit should be eaten alone.
but then i heard dr. graham say in a youtube video that dried fruit digests best with fresh fruit or blended with water. (like eating dates with grapes example)
what do u all think? any more info on the subject?
i like to eat fresh bananas with dried bananas and I'm trying to heal my digestion 100%. so its hard for me to tell sometimes what doesnt sit as well with me as other foods. i just wanna do it properly.
im gonna go on a 30 bananas island and plan on including dried bananas in the island to eat with lettuce. what do u think?
Hi ellenfisher! My opinion is that if you are trying to heal your digestion, eat as simple as possible. Mono meals. I would not combine dates with grapes. Just me though. I kinda treat grapes like melons and never eat them with anything else (except I will drink coconut water with them) and eat them in the AM. Maybe if you are combining dried bananas with fresh - thats still like mono mealing in my opinion. Lettuce with dried bananas sounds fine (lettuce pretty much combines well with anything it seems like). It sounds like you've basically got it to me. :o)
bananas only island doesn't have lettuce.
Other than that, this is a good question. I only eat dried when I don't have fresh, so its not really an issue of combination for me, but more a curiosity about how well dried digests vs. fresh. Not as good, obviously, but how much worse I wonder.
