So I'm having surgery done on my hand tomorrow
(Long story short: I was pouring a drink from a blender 2 years back. The blades fell out and cut my hand open. Now I have scar tissue on my tendon and it makes my hand go numb when pressure is applied to it.)
The surgery isn't until 12:15, the consultation doesn't start till 10:45 and I'm usually up at 5:30 to start waking up to go to work. The problem? I can't eat or drink (including water) after midnight TONIGHT. I'm totally freaking out.
Yup, been there many times because i had to fast for a colonscopy or other preps as well as liquid diet in hospital, it sucks but you'll survive :P
Just hydrate well and eat big the rest of today, and you'll be fine.
Here's hoping everything goes well with the procedure and you have your hand fully restored!
