30 Bananas a Day!

Has anyone else had an experience like this before? My little girl and I made this amazing looking apple pie yesterday, and of course I wound up caving in and eating TWO PIECES. Right before bedtime, no less.

I had a night filled with strange, woozy dreams involving feeling drunk and disoriented (yes, even in my dream state), and then woke up in the morning still woozy, bloated, and uncomfortable. Is this something to do with the sugar/flour staying in my stomach too long and fermenting there? Because, seriously, it was remarkable how much I felt like I'd consumed alcohol.

Yes, this can happen, have heard many others share this same experience, and I've even had it happen with certain raw foods as well, including 'crackow' :), nut cheeses and even fresh herbs/spices. I feel it's a natural signal to how destructive, unnatural or dangerous some foods can really be. When we eat them all the time, you don't feel the effects until it's often too late, but when you clean out, bamm, most of the time you feel it right away. Great signals! I'm so grateful for them! :)

Best to eat plenty of fruit before dinner and then a nice sized green salad with fruit or fruit dressing. This will reduce the chances of you even finding a pie appealing or even having the craving for something else.

Peace.

You're right, I suppose I should be grateful for those signals as well... next time I look at an apple pie, I'll probably associate it with this unpleasant weak and woozy feeling, and be able to say 'no thanks'. (>_<) Ugh!

Not all apple pies are the same. You can make a pie with 2g of fat or 200g of fat. One will create lipemia and the other won't.

Want sweet? Eat fruit. :) Get quality fruit that actually has some sugar in it vs the sugarless tart junk at the supermarket. ;)

Yup. I get hangovers from cooked food

It's now about 4pm (the pie incident being around dinner time last night), and I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. Next time I will totally assemble myself a LFRV apple and date "pie" instead!!

I just watched a video that Megan Elizabeth McDonnell made about candida overgrowth.  It sounds like that's what happened.  Eating fat with sugar, fat blocks the absorption of sugar in you blood stream.  What the insulin can't handle, the candida eats the rest.  What she said was that the by-product of the candida eating sugar is alcohol.  That would cause "feeling drunk". She also described "woozy, bloated, and uncomfortable" as symptoms of candida overgrowth.

Lovely. (>_<)

Hopefully this will balance itself out!

I get it with any high-fat nut pattes and such. It's totally weird. Megan Elizabeth talks about it in one of her videos briefly and thats why she went low fat raw, in addition to a mess of other things. It's pretty fascinating.
