30 Bananas a Day!

Sooooo, today marks week 7 of my high carb journey, not 100% raw, cut out rice 3 weeks ago, have been eating steamed potatoes regularly in the evening (best quality local organic/home grown) none the less they are bloating me out, so I'm going to try and cut them out as I know they are not meant to be a transitional tool.

I have had NO overt fat for the past 7 weeks, not so much as a,pine cernal in sight, freelee & DR did this for 2 yrs solid??

Anyway, I've been reading that fats help regulate hormones, I've been totally out of whack for months now, I have been cramming in the calories, aiming for 3000 a day I'm 21, 5'4" @ 147lbsish. I am doing yoga, walking, occasional jogging, cycling etc.. All moderates I've been dealing with image related social anxiety for a number of years now, I've put on 14lbs in the past few months, detoxing in my face. It's got to the point where I can't look at people in the eye, or even talk propperly sometimes.. This is getting really hard for me as every step I take in the right direction seems to take me further away fromy peers and social inclusion. My moods are all over the place...

I usually eat at least one head of lettuce a night. Mixed with chard, nasturtium, spinnich, peas you name it, I also tend to steam courgette and squashes, with leeks, recently corn has been in season so I'm eating a couple if cobs here and there, 95% organic local produce. I'll put up some pix of the typical amount of veg I eat.
I've also had no cravings for old fatty junk I used to eat, the thought of it makes me feel sick.. Every time a fleeting thought of going back to the way I used to eat crosses my mind, my brain throws 801010 logic at it and I know I'd never be happy doing it, nut as it stands I'm having wild mood swings and everyone (apart from my mum) thinks I'm going nuts.

You could always add in some avocado. It's 80/10/10, not 95/5/5.

I would recommend trying to cut out all cruciferous veggies, they make me feel sort of how you just described... I really would just try all normal lettuce like iceberg, romaine, or butter leaf, plus your normal fruits... I bet doing that will calm you down a bit... If I eat cruciferous, it makes me feel crazy...

I've heard people say that. Guess it's a real thing

You don't need fat for hormones best thing for your hormones is FRUIT, no overt fat and adequate calories. Also sleep and water help are critical as well. The thing that may be effecting your hormones negatively is the cruciferous veggies such as chard and spinach. Your best bet will be fruit and lettuce greens only.

try and see what works for yourself

see how you feel with avocado & nuts /seeds

and see how you feel without them

Ah yes good point banana boy certainly can't hurt to add them in and see how she feels. It is probably best to just try things out and see what works best for each person. Good thinking :-)
Just seeing this thread. Have you changed your fat intake? How r u feeling these days?

Have included 1/2 avocado a week, as for my emotional state, I'm still dealing with my body dis-morphia, I had to stop myself from crying 10 times today standing behind the till @ work, I just keep getting bigger and bigger. Or maybe I'm not, maybe it's in my head.... I have signed up to get some counselling anyways.

I had to increase my fat recently and I'm just now starting to feel better. I am dealing with lots of symptoms that need addressed myself. I just cannot do low, low fat yet. I need around 12% regardless of caloric intake. Hang in there!!

I think your biggest problem is yourself. You need to CTFU and work on PMA Lyra.

1/2 an avo a week is not going to do anything for your emotional state on a physiological level. Thats purely psychosomatic.  Its like the trick of putting a rock in a runners shorts during a race to mess with their head. They will waste more energy thinking about the rock, getting rid of it and then thinking about why you did it. At the finish line you can just laugh about it but you defo got an advantage over mentally weak runners on the sly.

Sounds like you really fried yourself for many years. Relax, CTFU, drink a quart of water before breakfast each morning, go to bed near sundown and meditate in savasana pose. This will put you on the right track mate. :)
