How much fat is too little? I track my intake on Crono-o-Meter and I never meet what they consider to be the daily goal. 16.4 g is the target they provide. Is this a bad thing? I know it is important to keep fat low but how much is too low?
Carbs on Average end up being around 90, protein 7 and fat 3.
The body only needs 3% of daily calories from fat and 2.5% from protein. On the 80/10/10 (or 90/5/5) macronutrient ratio, you get more than enough to meet those requirements.
According to scientific research done by the World Health Organization (WHO). Freelee cited these facts in one of her videos the other day.
According to the WHO, the adequate intake of Essential Fatty acids to prevent deficiency is 2.5% - 3.5% (3% average). They're called "essential" for a reason. ;) If your intake is too low, you open yourself up to a whole host of health conditions. Google "essential fatty acid deficiency". Sure, you may "feel fine", but you're actually doing something that's detrimental to your health by going too low.
Obeeeeese! Haha ;) Yeah, I doubt a few months will have done much, if anything, at all.
Okay , So fat is on track! I wasn't sure since it was bellow the 90/5/5. Thanks :)
Will a woman still get periods from a small amount such as 3 percent?
