30 Bananas a Day!

So I'm having a hard time fighting my favor for fat. Does anyone else find themselves craving the nuts and seeds? I just like looking forward to eating something a little scandalous after work you know? Maybe if I made fruit smoothies for dinner this problem could be solved, but I've decided to reach out. What do you all do for a treat these days? Think - sun shining and late snack type of idea.

I appreciate the assistance. I'm new in my transformation to low fat.

Thank you for reaching out to the community with this issue.  Fat IS addictive!  And especially non-raw plant based fat.  You hit the nail on the head of one reason people in general have a problem giving up their high-fat phood addiction.


CARB UP!! Do a smoothie of course if you crave sweets.  Eat a salad or crunch on celery or suck down a tomatoe for the sodium fix if you are craving salty fat. 


Cravings mean you are not eating enough.  Make certain you track using Cron-o-meter with the parameters set for 80/10/10 and weight as maintenance.  This makes such a difference in sticking to this program and staying on course with your eyes open.  TRACK!  CARB UP!  EAT YOUR GREENS -- work up to a lb a day. 

Watermelon! Or honeydew! ...or perhaps you want something savory? In which case zucchini or cuc pasta really hits he spot for me!

i have found that by avoiding all overt fat for 3 weeks or and cleansed my system from it that now when i eat an avocado i feel like crap so i actually dont enjoy fats whatsoever, but will have an occational avocado every few weeks

When I crave nuts (and believe me, I could finish 300 grams of nuts in an eyeblink), the only thing that works for me is eating more bananas. I don't know why this works; other fruit just don't  have the same calming effect on me as the bananas do. After a week on 811 I also lost all cravings for avocado. Right now the only fat I have comes from 2 tablespoons of raw tahini made from sprouted seeds. Everything else is just fruit and veggies:)

I used to have a huge thing for avocados (I could down 10 in one go, used to be so much  worse).  Some times I still do have such a craving for them.  Dates help me, I just can eat so many of them, instead.  ;)
