Hello! Since beginning this diet 3 weeks ago, I've lost my appetite for overt fat foods. I used to want several avocados in a day and would have 1-3! I have also been using cronometer and noticed that my percentage of calories from fat that I've consumed by the end of each day has been about 3% or less. Today it was less than 2%. This is much below 10%. Is that something I should be worried about? Anyone else consistently do this? Because I feel great. But I don't want to cause myself problems in the future as a result of what I do today. Thanks.
I wouldn't worry about the fat percentage being too low, but do make sure you're eating lots (like a pound a day) of greens so you get the fatty acids you need. Minerals too.
Thanks to both of you! Yes I am eating greens and non-sweet fruits. I also eat celery. I don't eat these things as much as sweet fruit, but I feel I get the 10% more or less. Sometimes I blend a fruit with a green, like mango and kale (oooohhhhh amazing). I often eat fresh herbs, like parsely or basil, but not a lot. I just don't ever want nuts or seeds or avocados. I keep thinking, "c'mon, not even half an avocado? It's good for you, once or twice a week...Nah."
Hah. Last night I talked myself into an avocado. I said, "Francesca, eat a freaking avocado." And I did. With kale and parsely. Although it was deeeeeelightful, I'm happy to say that it was no big deal. I really feel satisfied with my sweet fruits so much that I look forward to eating another avocado, next week. It's a nice system. And, sheesh, the thought of rancid nut oils makes me not want them ever, unless I've just picked them from a tree.
I have no desire for fats as well.. at all but I feel like im doing something wrong, I used to crave fat alot, but now I have to FORCE myself to eat some chia seed or coconut, Ioooove durians though!
I don´t think you can eat too little fat if you eat enough calories from fruits
