i interned at dougs fasting retreat in march 07 and it was something i will remember for life cos it taught me some fundamental lessons on health and fitness.
tonight we made mango'mato soup. a recipie i learned at fasting camp. infact im typing this under 2 80 year old plus mango trees and the fruitbats are dropping mangoes all around me. fasting retreat memories include pulse method banana smoothies, costa rican melon breakfasts, heart of palm salad, massive feasts, running laps on the local roads, mt chiripo, doug's daily talks, pristine air and surroundings, stream to bathe in, folks to meet and share.
this is the longest and most effective retreat on the planet if ones goal is to saturate oneself with the best nutritional and lifestyle info.
Bless you, Harley. I will always remember you at that retreat. Our program has grown up a bit since then, but the times we had with you were cherished. Nowadays, you can do a handstand, I bet. Did I tell you that I went up Chirripo last year, with Grant and Simon? No big deal, mate. :)
