30 Bananas a Day!

I'm a little new here and I can't seem to find anything on this...but I do a fair bit of high-intensity exercise. I've noticed these past few days since switching to 80/10/10 RT4 that my muscles are taking longer to recover from my workouts and I can't help but think it's from the decrease in protein, because I've always operated on the belief that protein is essential for recovery and muscle repair. I generally drink 2-3 liters of water per day (not even counting my morning smoothie and water from fruit), so I don't think it's from dehydration. What should I be doing? What do you do to recover? What could be causing this prolonged soreness?

I also exercise a lot.

I always eat a big fruit meal for breakfast and then either fruit or starches for lunch and starches for dinner. My starches of choice are 99% of the times either brown rice, potatoes or winter squash. I also eat sweet potatoes and lentils here and there, as well as raw and (mostly) steamed vegetables.

I recover very quickly, but my calorie intake is never under 3500 kcal. Some days it's up to 5000-6000 kcal.

I can run a marathon and be fully recovered within 3-4 days.
