I'm glad you're raisin this question I am happy to answer! raisins are, as Jade says a great emergency carb hit, I put them in smoothies when I have no dates, but beware the added oil they put this in to stop them sticking together, I run mine under the hot tap to try and rinse as much oil off before I eat them...
raisins are great - just make sure they are organic or at least contain no sulphur, no sugar or other nasty stuff!
they shouldn't be a staple food but as addition in a salad, smoothie, raw pie/cookie - perfect! :)
they might become one of my staples because i really want to go fully raw and they are ridiculously cheap. id eat them along with other things but such a great way to get a good amount of calories
