30 Bananas a Day!

I just had a nice, long talk with my mom about veganism and she wants to transition into this lifestyle.

I would really love it if this community would show her some support, share some words of encouragement or share your stories so that I can show her and keep her motivated.

Some Background:

She was very supportive of me when I told her I had made the switch and at first I didn't think I'd be able to "convert" her or any of my family. But, I reminded myself that she was worth the try. She has struggled for years with weight loss; she loves to exercise and has tried every fad diet that has come and gone. Also, my grandmother (her mother) suffered from many health issues and ultimately passed away too young from being overweight. So, I told her that I loved her and I wanted her to thrive and live a long, healthy life.

Not to mention, she much like myself is a passionate person and a huge animal lover. So, I told her the documentaries to watch and to remember the animals to keep inspired. She sounds serious about it and I would be so happy if she changed her life and saved lives with me!

Share some love and good vibes, fruit bats!

Love the mutual support you both continue to share with each other.  All too often this isn't the case, so it's something to be treasured.

Any who embark on a vegan journey are to be applauded, but it's all the more impressive when somebody who has already lived a good number of years does so as it can be especially challenging to overcome long-ingrained habits.  But regardless of age, there's no time like the present!

You mum may enjoy looking through these numerous threads and comments from those who've walked a similar path:

Let us know how we can continue to be of support as you go.

where do we get our nutrient from as vegans, the same place the animals did, fruit & veggies .... eating animals is eating second hand nutrient that has been twisted and changed for the animals needs not ours and is sub standard in comparison to a vegan food. in fact, eating animals is not food, its self mutilation of the digestive system by consuming toxic waste that wants to decompose and is poison.

ever wandered why vegan kitchens dont have flies - because theres no dead carcasses for the flys to lay their maggots in.

Now you can't be vegan 'cause... Mineral levels in plants are depleted. LifeRegenerator lacks sense

LifeRegenerator appears on RawKristina's video and repeats what an anti-vegan told me days before... that mineral levels in plant foods have depleted by 85 percent
