I try to eat my last meal at least two, preferably three hours prior to sleep as digestion can disturb sleep quality - especially if you have a full stomach.

A piece of fruit prior to sleep probably wouldn't have much impact.

The sumo's skip breakfast and eat most of their cals at dinner then go straight to bed.

They don't eat low fat or low protein though haha.

Our natural design is bigger meals during daylight hours. Can't forage food at night. :)

Actually DR, you can now forage at night although you are correct in that prior to artificial light we couldn't. Our body clock is finely aligned with the rise and fall of the sun as you infer.

But, in today's modern world I forage at night - aka dumpster diving.

Here is last night's haul;

Go Peter,

So very proud of you son

Precisely! Should one go after the daylight in ones current location or should you go by the daylight on the equator, given that humans originate from there? :)

Eating during the daylight hours is a real and natural thing for humans. In the wild we wouldn't be able to forage at night time meaning that eating when it's dark is unnatural and not the ideal way to reach optimal health. Now, considering that we live in a unnatural world, eating during the daylight hours might not work for everyone. If you workout late after work then of course you'll be forced to eat. Just my two cents... :)

Thank you!

I have a habit of eating before bed. I am hungry and want some heavy food to tranquilize myself. 8 months into this lifestyle I realize its me, not human nature! Start making dinner earlier. If you're still munching at 9pm get more calories in sooner! Or maybe you're missing some nutrients. Dont judge yourself though. Freelee/Durianrider and company learned through their own mistakes and we shall learn through ours. Im sure my late night eating had its purpose to refuel.

Im the same way, maybe it's a comfort!

I feel as though the only problem with this habit can be not leaving enough time between eating and sleeping, try to leave about 2 hours or something. Should be fine :)
