I was curious if consuming this would make me gain weight on a high carb, high fructose, raw till 4, vegan diet. There are 3 grams of fat in 1 cup of plain unsweetened almond milk .... so it is dense in fat. Should I not drink it anymore? I never have anymore than single cup a day, should I just cut it out entirely?
I drink almond milk almost daily, only 1 to 1.5 cups (has 2.5g of fat per cup). Since going vegan, I have been drinking it and eating Raw til whenever and haven't gained. Was 180 and now down to 141 in 5.5 months roughly, working out between 30 mins and an hour on and off (mostly walking). Just don't drink a lot of it and depending on your body, if you can handle drinking it in with fruit, then go ahead. I mostly just add it to smoothies first thing in the morning or use it in banana ice cream as a lunch.
Generally, if you want to gain weight, increase fat intake. Does not apply to all persons, but I would be cautious if you are not intending to gain some weight.
What purpose do you see in drinking it?
What subs would best approximate it for you?
