Ugh, dry hands, making me nuts. I cant stand the feel of oils on them either, it seems to make it worse and feels hot, I have had allergic reactions to things recently, what can I put on my hands? I drink water and get watery foods in..
They are so dry I cant even swipe my touch screens anymore it just doesn't register the swiping, I know that sounds stupid and insignificant.
I work in a hotel doing laundry and my hands get very dry because I fold laundry all day (think of running your hands over towels and sheets for 4-8 hours a day). After experimenting with several creams I settled on Nelson Calendula Cream for Dry, Rough and Sensitive Skin. It's a lifesaver! My hands go from rough to smooth so fast!
Active ingredient: Calendula officinalis 1X (.09%) Inactive ingredients: Purified water, Apricot kernel oil, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Cetostearyl alcohol + Polyoxyl stearate, Cetyl palmitate, Cocoa butter, Fragrance, Glycerin, Glyceryl monocaprylate, Glyceryl monostearate + Polyoxyl stearate, Methyl paraben, Propylparaben.
are u using any sort of soap for hand washing, especially antibacterial?
This stuff really does a number on me. I'm a fan of clean hands, but have found that a good scrubbing with plain water is almost always sufficient.
I would use organic cream or lotion! without propylparaben or other parabens!
Try Dr Bronners! or other organic cosmetics and google the ingredients!
I don't know what brands you can get in New Zealand, but Weleda is very good!
if you want it super natural, have you tried applying avocado? "hand mask" made with avocado?
