Apparently using the WFF as a prop for promoting life threatening and unqualified supervised water fasts in Costa Rica was too much of a liability for Mike Arnstein and Co.
Now will Harley and Freelee be reinstated?
Doug dug his own grave.
You would have to wonder that if someone attended Doug's fasting lectures at the WFF, then went to Costa Rica and died under his negligence, then the deceased's family would have a very good lawsuit against WFF as well as the Arnstein's and the board of governors.
It is best he is gone. It might just save the festival, especially if they would be smart enough to bring back Harley and Freelee into the fold.
Let's be fair. If not for Dr. Doug Graham and his 80/10/10 diet, there would be no Mike Arnstein, no Woodstock Fruit Festival, no Fully Raw Kristina, no Freelee, no DR, no 30bananasaday website. And all of you, including myself, would not even be on here.
Whatever issues there are with those fasting retreats, they have no bearing on the 80/10/10 diet and its tremendous health benefits. The 80/10/10 diet has healed many of us, and all of us should be grateful to Dr. Doug Graham for his invaluable contribution.
Woodstock Fruit Festival may be becoming less relevant than you think. Here is the full picture:
09/21/2014 - Grant Campbell's Voting Ineligibility Motion.
09/25/2014 - Arnold Kauffman steps down as Board member.
09/27/2014 - Ellen Livingston steps down as Board member.
09/27/2014 - Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram steps down as Board member.
09/27/2014 - Chris Kendall steps down as Board member.
09/27/2014 - Motion to exclude Douglas Graham from WFF events.
The whole WFF's Board of Governors is obviously in turmoil and Mike Arnstein has moved to live to Hawaii.
With all these important people gone from WFF, who are you going to come to listen to now? Dan The Man "McDonald's"?
Personally, I feel Arnstein must have made it clear that WFF would probably not go on unless Doug got booted. He was too much of a liability, similar to how Doug was booted from Vegsource. Those pioneers stepping down may have been because they didn't want to vote against Doug.
dons running the show from his crutches . it seems
I believe they are still part of the WFF and going to be included as pioneers, but they are no longer Board Members so they won't be able to vote on issues.
All the pioneers are useless really. I think the festival depends way more on the fruit than anything else.
Doug just seemed more and more like a lunatic on every recent appearance. Foodnsport videos recently come off a bit loopy. It just feels like money is his ultimate philosophy and thats a shame. not the first to go that way, perhaps its a reflection upon society at large and us all. His contribution with 801010 cant be forgotten. His ridiculous and seemingly insidious insistence upon being a 'doctor' probably should.
I'm way on the outside of this, but the whole WFF episode makes everyone look nuts.
WFF had every reason take Harlee and Freelee's name off it (they do not practice raw eating anymore) and from what I could tell they were never "banned" from anything as they complained about. Further, who would ever give a rip about having your name on someone else's "fruit festival".
As for the rest, clearly it's melting down into a kafka like carnival of madness, as nutrition movements tend to do. I have no idea why nutrition attracts the nuttiest people.
I think Doug and our hosts here have the holy grail of health and fitness, and yet they struggle to just be normal about it. Retreats of any kind are creepy cult like stuff and Harlee and Freelee tend to gravitate toward sex and dating advice these days as well as petty spats with low level youtube personalities.
Beam me up Scotty.
