30 Bananas a Day!

Why is this? Does this mean it is a natural food to them, or they just do it to be evul?

No, humans are not apes. That's a separate species of anthropoid primate. We differ particularly in dentition from apes, a key indicator of diet differences. Our canines have dramatically diminished in size since we branched off from apes seven million years ago. That's pretty clear evidence that human evolution is a study in greater and greater veganism. Which is quite a statement considering the tiny portions of meat that apes eat to begin with. Even to eat small amounts of flesh requires canine teeth much larger and sharper than ours. Therefore, human history prior to cooking is a dramatic movement from apelike near-veganism to pure human veganism...
Thanks, Sydney. Bows...
Chimpanzees share more DNA with humans than they do with Gorillas..what does that make us? It's not so bad being an ape.
Thanks C. Dove. I'm not saying it's so bad. It's just no longer the precise classification. Traditional taxonomy has been refined in the past 20 to 30 years. I was told this in high school biology. But old usages die hard. Even Wikipedia is not full on, but acknowledges like so:

the term ape has been deemphasized in favor of Hominoidea as a means of describing taxonomic relationships.
Agreed on both. Thanks Roo.
Chimps do hunt and kill other animals, even monkeys. Chimpanzees are humans closest relative.. Chimpanzees are closer to humans and they are to apes.
It is a natural, but NOT PREFERRED, food for them--they can eat seeds, flowers, bark, meats of small animals, and insects (mostly termites), when fruit is scarce, such as in colder times. ;P

Like humans, such an ability to adapt has enabled them to survive for quite a damn long time.
Exactly! Great answer.
Exactly Moiraine.
sure, but look at their canines. They are still much larger than ours.

yes. It's nice to show people that other primates eating a plant-based diet still have much larger canines than humans. If a gorilla wanted to eat meat then it would be much better equipped to do so. It is further evidence that humans shouldn't be eating any meat.
Agreed. They don't eat any, so obviously we don't need to.
