i always heard my whole life that carbs are the enemy! and unless you are extremely active, all the carbs that you don't burn off will get stored as fat, and you need to protein to maintain muscle mass....so with a high carb raw vegan diet, aren't the carbs bad? also with such low protein doesn't it make you "skinny fat"? (where you are thin, but your skin is all saggy cus no muscle mass)
can someone explain how that works? I'm going to try RT4 again today, I will eat maybe 5 bananas cus 10 makes me want to puke... and 10 dates for lunch (where in walmart do i find dates?? i cant the dates!!) and for dinner ill have pasta + sauce.
Carbs, like anything else, will be stored as fat if you don't use them. Carbs are not the "enemy". It's a matter of how active you are (unless you have a genetic disorder). Yes, protein can help build or maintain muscle IF you exercise those muscles! Again, it comes down to lifestyle.
Bananas for breakfast, dates for lunch and pasta for dinner. That seems nutritionally insufficient.
Yes carbs turn into fat so eat more fat and that will turn into the glucose (carbohydrate) your body needs for energy.
You need greens! .. for minerals and protein.
You can be 'skinny fat' eating tons of protein. Protein by itself does not build muscle. Movement does.
insufficient?? its what freelee recommended on her video. she also said in another video to that fat blonde girl to not eat nuts or veggies...
i want to do the easiest and most simple diet...i dont mind eating the same thing everyday, i pretty much always do. she recommended in a video 10 banananas breakfast, 10 dates lunch, then potatoes for dinner...so if i just have 10 abnanans for breakfast, then 10 dates for lunch and potatoes for dinner and a bowl of salad + italian dressing will that be ok? btw i found out today that pasta has minerals in it!!
Pasta and fruit have some minerals but not enough. Try eating as you stated for a few months and see how you feel;-)
There's nothing wrong with nuts and veggies.
even further then that : Seeds , seed and more sprouted seed .. Nutrition values of commercial crops are reducing .. unless from volcanic soil regions , and / or alluvial flood plains..
Even so, most are Magnesium Deficient, its well known. Noone is doing anything, maybe Peter Melov (SUV Bondi Junct) by adding Dead Sea Salt and Fulvic minerals to breads he makes.. Funny thing is he used to sell 60 loaves per day in both shops .. now its down to maybe 20. Aussies prefer white fancy loaf prepared to pay $8 in Woolies for Sourdough.. got nothing nutritious.
Were the heck is that twig gonna get the 76 minerals (admittedly mostly micronutrient) the body needs? S America, thats where.. Hawaii is another hotspot .. sent my ex there, she went to Thailand instead .. Doooh ..
Not enough minerals.
Some minerals deficiencies don't show up in blood tests because those minerals don't stay in the blood.
The affect of mineral deficiencies can take years to develop.
You may be fit but anyone who thinks a diet of bananas, dates and pasta provides adequate minerals for long term human health is kidding himself.
The point I'm making is that carbs won't make you fat if you use them but a high carb diet should include foods with high mineral content- like vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and legumes for overall health.
That depends on your salad: You need greens and oranges for A, K, etc. Seek out leafy veggies high in calcium but low in oxalates. Consider almonds and/or kiwi for vitamin E.
Educate yourself about (or supplement with) B12, D, iodine, and maybe selenium.
