Again not all starches are equal. Your eating gluten starches and white potatoes are nightshades.. so the staches you were eating are hard to digest and cause inflammation. Sweet potatoes, yams, jicama, completely different.
Ever hear of Acrylamide? It is toxic! Avoid eating cooked starches if you can.
Regular potatoes really arent nutritious at all. They have loads of B6 and copper which you actually dont want too much of in your diet. They arent that high in vitamin C for being known for that, sweet potatoes beat them in pretty much every category, practically 2-3 times more nutritious, and the biggest of all is that white potatoes are a nightshade completely different family then sweet potatoes which are part of the morning gllory family. White potatoes are very inflammatory, and sweet potatoes are highly anti-inflammatory. Sweet potatoes dont have loads of lectins as well and digest a lot better.
Acrylamide in potatoes......only when baked, not when boiled.
question - I'm new to all this and I live on a cruise ship so I've been eating a lot of dried mango. Its not the healthy unsulphered kind, it's Phillipine dried mango because that's what they sell here on the ship. I felt like it was the least of all evils when needing food - we eat at a crew mess and there's only white pasta or steamed rice and there is fruit but I can only eat it from the mess (so I can't make smoothies, but I'm lucky that I can smuggle apples and oranges in my purse tee hee!) I tend to eat raw fruit during the day and then for dinner I eat a raw green salad covered in fruit and then usually eat pasta with red sauce or white rice. but when I'm hungry I've been eating a lot of the dried mango - is this completely counterproductive? I feel like it's a better choice then the fat free pretzels and it ups my calories
Well now cooked food sounds terrifying.
It doesn't make sense how some people can gain 'fat' on starch and some cannot. There must be something else going on.
Tons of people lost a lot of weight following the McDougall's Diet. It's definitely not easy to put on significant weight when eating whole starches.
i'm very informed and experienced about all kind of foods and their influence on the body.
I can for sure tell you this;avoid as much as possible starchfood.It is not fit for human beings.it intoxicate the body with mucus,and makes, such as dairy products ,a sticky paste in your body.The starch of potatoes is better than the starch of grains because its acompagned with alcaline minerals and has more vitB1 and B2 to help for the digestion of carbohydrates.Starch of grains is harmfull for the glands,its also one the cause of alergies ,astma...flu,colds whereby the body tries to expel the mucus;See also "the mucushealingdiet systen of Professor Arnold Ehret" who gives a good vieuw on harmfull and nonharmfull foods
exuse me my English,it's my third lanquige;
