can't i just drink a bunch of water and still have 1,000mg +/- of sodium a day?

keep your sodium modest 500-1000  with plenty of water and sport

I am sure I go over on my sodium a bit.  But I train hard, sauna 5x a week and drink tons of water and so never notice any bloating.. 

Clealy is ideal to not eat any salt, but if you do, don't make it a daily habit, it is addictive, and damaging. I prefer to make my cooked meals sweet (occasionally sugar or dates) and sour (lemon), with little or no salt. And I find plain quality rice tastier then rice with different condiments/vegetables but no salt. Somehow, when I put other condiments in rice I feel like using salt. Plain/sweet Baked potatoes need no salt.  Sprouts need no salt. The more you use salt the more you feel like using. Though I find hard to enjoy lentils/beans with no salt..how do you guys enjoy these? 

Cooked food tastes nasty without salt, indeed. Except potatoes. But the question was about something else :P

Still waiting for someone to answer. Does drinking a lot of water helps with the elimination of salt?

I went ahead of myself because I was thinking about my own drama, what to eat this evening... :(

:)) I know water dilutes the toxins, including salt, encourage urinating and thus eliminating toxins faster. But some of it still gets trapped in the body, in the space between the cells...from what I know. But I have no data to back up my statements. There was a Dr Klein article somewhere...

Water does not dilute the sodium I eat. Since I was little I had this problem...salt retention. And I feel like a pillow sometimes, even though I eat so little salt. And my body looks awful, just like a sponge. But despite all these facts, I still eat sodium in my cooked food. Just a little bit, but I do.

I'll give you prooof. I'll give you proof, just need to check with my personal fantasies about the caveman diet :))

Diluating I mean, the concentration of  toxins (including salt) / body water will be lower..so it is better to drink more water.
