Thank you for taking the time to read this. I really needs some advice!
I went to the doc today to go over some results ( Holistic Natural path Doctor ).
She said I am not making the acids in my stomach to digest anything and that I way have toxic metals in my system and she wants to test me for SiBo (unwanted bacteria in the system/ not a fun disease). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_intestinal_bacterial_overgrowth
She told me I may possibly have to be put on a diet that had a bit of meat and broth added to my diet. I was not happy to hear this and internally knew that this was not my truth. she was compassionate and understanding/ has worked with vegans but not many healthy ones. I will be doing my way on 80/10/10. So any input and info would be great.
Thank you and much Love,
Ultimately, doctors know all about disease, but next to nothing of health.
Keepin' it ol skool!
I have heard Dr. Doug Graham say in one of his videos that it is not a cure all if you have a pre existing illness it is good to get addition advice in addition to the 80 10 10 diet.
Exactly. Diet is not any type of cure any more than any medicine is.
It is the body that is the cure. Dietary choices simply enhance or retard this natural function.
way to listen to your heart. :) the thing is is that 80/10/10 won't do anything but benefit you in as many ways as you can handle, including this problem. most everyone comes into this diet with some sort of problem or another, but this is definitely the way to overcome.
meat is not gonna help. many times the undigested proteins from the meat enter the blood and get attacked as foreign unusable invaders. you don't need any of that.
I am curious if you're still around and how this turned out for you? I have a similar issue and would love to chat with you.
My holistic doctor said the same thing. I have SIBO and I have to exclude from my diet all starches, all gluten, and all sugars including fruit. She said no fruit whatsoever in order to starve the bacteria. I guess, if you starve the host, and the host (me) dies, the bacteria will not have a place to live.
I asked her what I could eat. She said lettuce some protein (beef, chicken, eggs, and fish) for at least 4 weeks. Can one live on just lettuce for 4 weeks? She doe not want me to even have a carrot!
Everywhere I read, they say bacteria feed on sugar and fruit is the major source of it. What should we do?
I wonder if some good pro-biotic is something you should look at.
if you have a problem with a rogue bacteria then it's probably because your body is lacking in good bacteria
There are good vegan/plant based pro-biotic's around
I know your post is old and I am not sure if you're still on here, but I am curious if you had any success with healing SIBO? I've had SIBO/Candida for years and have been having a hard time beating it. Did going raw heal you?
