30 Bananas a Day!

Hey ladies!

The topic I'm writing about is one of the most amazing things I have discovered in the past year. Yes, amazing. The diva cup. (or moon cup)

Many of you have heard of these before but have not invested in one, and I'm here to tell you why you NEED TO.

The diva cup (the brand I use) is a menstrual cup. It catches the blood without having to be soaked up by anything and create a mess. You can have it in for up to 12 hours and is reusable.

Menstrual cups save you money, environmental waste, and your health!

Pads and tampons contain numerous chemicals (including bleach) that are very harmful to the body. And you put them WHERE??!  These cancer causing, health damaging, and possibly fatal chemicals are put in a place in your body that should be very well cared for.

I love the Diva Cup and am never going back to pads or tampons. I have a fairly heavy to normal flow and I only have to empty it about every 3.5-4 hours. I think they are 30-40 dollars, but they can last for YEARS! Just clean them with hot soapy (chemical free soap) water every day and you will stay uber fresh!

For the environment, your wallet, and your health...please. Buy a menstrual cup.

Thanks for reading and caring. :)

Comment below about your experience with menstrual cups or any harmful things you know about tampons/pads! Spread the word!

Guys: If you bothered reading this, tell the ladies in your life! :)

menstrual cups are amazing!! I have a Sckoon cup, and I've heard good things about the Lunette as well. and I believe Meluna brand has the largest selection of sizes!

I bought The Keeper for 30 euro last year in the Netherlands. Thanks to a video about the subject by Freelee. Absolutely love it. Best buy!! I tried to tell my girlfriends but they think its gross. Well, their loss.

This is the vid:

I was never able to use tampons; the first (and only!!!!) time I used it it got too big and it felt like I was taking out a baby!  I've had my Moon Cup for 7+ years and I've loved it from the moment I first used it.  I had to buy mine from the UK for about $45AUD, delivered, because Australia wasn't approving them (don't know if they've changed, yet, either).

The relief of not buying pads for all these years is what electric car owners feel every time they pass a gas station, I think.  *grin*

Haha yes! Nice metaphor!

Its been over 6 years I have use the Diva cup yes mine is called the Diva cup but it is the same as the Moon cup. I just simply love it especially for the fact that I love to travel! I never need to worrie that I caried enought tampons or pads for the tripe. Plus when I was younger noun of my girlfriend ever new that I had my period when it came to sleep overs becauses you can wear theme at night as well. And really you don't really need to empty the cup until it leaks or the end of the day!

But yes it dose take time to get use to putting it in but once in its good for days or night and never need to worrie about oh! Do I have another in my purses?!

I'm in love with my diva cup! had it for about 6 months. Never ever going back!

I was never able to use tampons because I don't like the feeling of something in me. I have had pelvic/cervical/gynocological exams and everything down there is A-Okay, totally normal vagina, here. I fear I'd feel the cup just like I felt the extra slim tampons. That's why I will stick to washable organic cotton pads. :) They are great for the environment as well.

Washable organic cotton pads are easy to make and are a fantastic alternative to any insertable cup.

Very nice to know! Interesting! Thanks for sharing! (such a late reply hha sorry)
