Can anyone please explain what exactly is "distilled water"?
I am german and "distilled water" translates to "destilliertes Wasser"...Which you can't drink! It's deadly! Distilled water is drained off all it's minerals; it's plain HO2 and having it in your body will cause the minerals in your minerals to diffuse through the cell membranes which leaves your body unable to funktion and kills you rather quickly...
So why do people claim they drink distilled water?
haha you made me lol!
Distilled water = rain water without pollution.
All the water on this planet was and is distilled by nature over and over again.. look up water cycle.
Water supposed to be 'plain H2O', anything else in it is contamination.
We should get our minerals from fruit and veg not from inorganic rocks.. they deposit in your joints, arteries, etc. and cause all kinds of disease.
I have a distiller like this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Water-Distiller-Glass-Collection-Bottle/dp/...
I've been using it for a few months now and I'm still alive. I don't want to be drinking any the nasties you find in tap water, it really isn't good for you (I live in the UK)
Distilled water is just plain H2O. It's totally drinkable. The idea of it somehow draining you of minerals is a complete myth.
Allright, thanks for your answers...I'll reachers it more in the german discussion =D
I find it really confusing because I ALWAYS used to belive you can't drink it. Distilled water in Germany is sold in drugstores ó.o and mosz people I have ever spoken to thought it kills you to drink more than a glass of it (even HCLF vegans)...
Gosh - I checked it and found out: if I drank more than 15l of distiled water a day, i'd die....yeah...I see where the mith came from!
If you drank more than 15l of ANY water, you might die!
Most people are stupid.. :)
I am not sure if it will kill you or not. One glass probably will not, but I have read arguments on both sides regarding long term use of distilled water.
Distilled water here meaning water that may have been boiled, and then condensed to form water only with little to no nutrients left.
If one can, I recommend drinking water in its natural form, or filter only. Water is natures gatorade so to speak and comes high in natural sodium, calcium, and other minerals. You can plug water into a site like www.cronometer.com to learn more.
