Refined sugar is refined sugar.
Ok thank you.. please answer this question.. is xylitol, erythritol or dates sugar refined sugar? can it be used for diabetes?
I don't think you can cure diabetes by changing the kind of sugar you use. You have to lower your fat intake.
I dont want to cure it.. but my grandfather uses aspartame sugar more than once a day and I want a healthier alternative for him instead of getting the aspartame.
So dates sugar is ok? its not concidered refined sugar and it wont make his blood sugar go high or low?
Read the article I linked above to see the various glycemic index of different sugars.
Hey, when you separate the sugar (or any other nutrient) from the whole food it becomes harmful.
Looks like you've tried making him realised about the issues of the diabetic disorder and he doesn't see it. Well, or you try harder, or you leave it. Otherwise it will become an endless battle. (And the battle comes with uncomfortable situations among other issues).
I know how you feel. I have the same issue with my grandparents. He has crazy gastrointestinal issues and she had cancer, has digestive issues, hips/knees/uncles atrophy and overweight problems. Both needs glasses and both had denture replacement.
But they won't replace the cheese, meet, sugar and oils with healthier choices…
Not until they'll see!
So I'll never give up, we all know health and rejuvenation doesn't have a limit age when to start, so I keep trying opening their eyes.
and stay strong!
Thank you for your reply :) yes its really hard specially when they are in a age where they wont even listen to what your saying haha
