30 Bananas a Day!

Detox symptoms, too much fat, and/or something? what to eat or drink?

Having some sudden sqeamishness in my body today, wondering what to do and do you have any other thoughts on why I feel like this?

Last night around 8 oclock I ate some dates with a small handful of almonds and brazil nuts. I had eaten some fat that day and honestly, I could've gone without the nuts and would've felt great! So I ate a small sour mango after that and later I slowly sipped a glass of coconut water. I felt good before I went to sleep because I waited a while to digest and I didn't have any unusual side effects. Nuts have never in my life made me feel nauseous, maybe my body is becoming more sensitive because I have been eating less of them. Meanwhile after I ate, I talked on the phone with my friend who wants to be vegan but he ate meat yesterday because his uncle made it for him and he felt sick so I was sending him good vibes to help him feel better and he said it worked! but now i feel sick, lol. 

Also, this is the longest I have ever been 100% raw and I can feel my body detoxing a lottt. That could definitely be part of my upset stomach. I cried this morning and I feel like I am experiencing a lot of past emotions that I used to feel like I couldn't handle, but now I am just present with them so they are rising to the surface.

I woke up this morning and laid in bed for about an hour because my stomach feels extremely sensitive. I haven't thrown up but I feel like I could and the thought of eating fruit especially acidic ones makes me queezy. I'm drinking some mild ginger tea and it has definitely helped but I have NO appetite and that is rare for me. I feel like my body is so wise and it knows what it's doing but I want to eat so i don't get dizzy. Any suggestions on how to sooth my belly? and what to eat?! Thanks :)

Hi Jenna,

It sounds like your stomach is in detox. Yay! I went through your symptoms exactly when I did a water fast for 4 days after being 100% raw for 1 year nearly.  The nausea and dizziness were always worse in the morning.  Felt like I had to walk slowly and hold on to things just to walk to the bathroom.  The feeling would go away in the afternoon/evening but on the forth day it kept going and I eventually just threw up.  I felt so much better after throwing up.  I hadn't eaten in 4 days so what came out what clear mucous!  I found that so interesting. After that no nausea or dizziness, well and I did break the fast soon after by eating an apple as my symptoms were worrying to the people around me who don't understand fasting and detox.  Best to not talk to people about what you're doing.  I found it was best to just lie in bed and let mother nature do what she needs to.  Sometimes a hot water bottle on the abdomen can soothe an upset stomach.  If your body just wants to throw up I'm sure you will feel much better afterwards.  May just need to distract yourself from the discomfort with a warm bath or massage or something soothing.

I did end up throwing up later that day and felt immediate relief!  I layed in bed for hours that day and the discomfort didn't bother me unless I had to move lol The next day all of the symptoms were gone and I've been feeling good since :)
