30 Bananas a Day!

Hey everyone, I love salads with tons of veggies, but I have not found a good low fat raw vegan dressing that I like. I used to do creamy asian dressings, or balsamic vinegar. I'm not really digging just lemon juice and I've tried blending up peppers and celery and spices but I can't find a good tasting combo! Recipes or ideas??

try making a raw salsa (tomato, cilantro, onion, jalapeño). 

Check out fullyraw (kristina bucaram -- not sure if I spelled this right). I LOVE her recipes. She has one for a corn and peach salsa that I really like.

Last nigh I made an avo-dill dressing. Delish

1/2 zucchini

2-3 green onions (opt if you do not eat onions)

1 clove garlic  (opt if you do not eat garlic)

1/2 Fennel

1/2 Bunch Dill

Handful of Fresh Basil (from my garden)

Juice of half a lemon

Blend! If you need more liquid add more lemon or a touch of water.

Add a pinch of salt  (opt if you do not eat salt)

1/2 avocado

Blend again to mix!

Taste, Adjust and Enjoy!

Salad does not have to be boring. The Zuke adds some body to the dressing, the avo some creaminess. Use any herbs that you like. There is no right or wrong!

I have been making/selling salads to my friend and i noticed he still used fatty, unhealthy dressing so i asked him if i could make him something healthy. i made an "Italian" one :)

Cut up red peppers, green onions, onions and mix in a mason jar (or any jar)

add Italian seasoning (basil, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, thyme), some more basil & oregno, black pepper, garlic salt ~ mix

add olive oil and water (you can judge how much to put) and mix ~


it comes out super super good!!!!!!!! it is "chunkier" than "normal" dressing (depending on how small you cut up the peppers, green onions (scallions), and onions) but it is so much healthier and MUCH MUCH more tasty.

i would suggest leaving out the olive oil now lol

I blend together until smooth:

-1 cup (loosely packed) dates

-the juice of one orange

-1 cup (or a bit more) water

The orange and date combo makes it delicious!

(Even though I think ginger is not recommended on this lifestyle, you can add a small piece of ginger to give the dressing a kick)

I recently tried blending one ripe mango, 3 pitted medjoul dates, a splash of water, and a dash of coconut sugar.

I remembered that you mentioned Asian Dressings the other day when I read your post. Someone on the forum posted an Asian Dressing that I have not tried yet but I know it will be great...and so simple. I love that part! Could be great on salad or pasta or pasta salad.

Spicy Ginger Citrus Sauce

2 in. of ginger root ( minced)

2 tb. of sugar in the raw

One cup of raw tahini

One lemon and one lime (juiced)

Add water as needed

whisk together, serve raw or heated

Yes! This is what I eat on my salads, I like to add a tiny bit of pure sesame oil too, but it is still great without. So delicious. It's also good on homemade fries! 

I just made this dressing:
9 organic sundried tomatoes
1/2 shallot
2 cloves garlic
Splash o raw apple cider vin or lemon juice
Pinch sea salt (could leave this out)
Pinch oregano
1 c water

You do need a high speed blender like a vitamix - blend till smooth!
