I guess one could call me an exercise addict. In my usual routine I am active several hours a day, working out daily; cycling, doing taekwondo, running...It doesn't really bother me. Sure, it takes up time but I mostly train with friends or/and my partner, it's still fun to me and I'm not overtrained.
However if fore some reasons I can't work out, I get nervouse and feel bad about myself! >.< Not that I don't KNOW I worry for no reason. I simply have an obsessive personality and am a perfectionist.
To the point: In summer I want to travel and do an internship at a social project. I'm exighted about it! But at the same time I am afraid of feeling upset and stressed out due to giving up my work out routine.
I know some of you have routines they follow that are a lot more...let's say "compact" but still super effective! I'd love to read your suggestions on how I can train smart...instead of all day every day and still stay in shape! :) (And I love my current shape! I have damn high standarts...)
I understand you, I also feel bad when I can't workout, and the worse thing is that it happens a couple times a year that I have a full week off, or more: a single week off brings me at least one month back in performance ! (hmm, if I'm not clear, I mean to say that I keep track of my progress and when I can't workout for one week, my scores/times fall back to what they were one month before).
If you want to do compact/super effective training, try doing HIIT: look for Zuzana Light workouts, she now have a private/paying "zgym" but you can find her older workouts on Youtube (search for "ZWOW" and from her older channel, bodyrock.tv): 10-20 minutes workout that will totally drain you !
