30 Bananas a Day!

Hi there, I'm a busy mum and I'm finding it hard to find time to prepare enough fruit for myself during the day, then I just end up snacking on loads of dates in the evening.  I've been getting better the last few days by having a banana smoothie (bananas and water) in the afternoons, which is great as it's so quick and easy, but I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any other ideas for quick and easy calories?  I've seen mention of daterade, which I'm guessing is just soaked dates blended with water - does it have to be medjool dates (too expensive here!) or can I use other dates and if so what ratio dates/water?

Thanks!

Thanks Terra'ism, sounds great! I love dates....but will it work if they're not medjool dates and how long would I have to soak them for?
For sure, any date will do. Some have automatically more moisture than others, but they'll begin to rehydrate in just 15-20min. I've believe I've heard Free mention that she likes around a 6 hr soak time.
Also, make sure your dates are truly raw (those in the store may be heat dried), and if possible organic.
Terra's recipe with the coco water is truly something for which to be grateful for tastebuds--I call it Nectar of Olympus!
great thanks! looking forward to trying it!
Ok so I just tried my first datorade - yum!

Definitely a big hit! Of course now it's got me thinking about eating so many dates....I've been tracking my food intake for a couple of weeks now and I've only just realised quite how many dates I eat, probably averaging around 400-500 calories a day. It's great in a way because they're so easy and I'm sure it helps to keep my food bill down. But of course they're dried and obviously nutritionally inferior than fresh fruit and I'm wondering how many dates is too many. I've no idea how to decide on the answer to this question - anyone any ideas?

Hm hard to say, I always eat until I feel satisfied im my stomach :-)

But what is even more important for me is to have real good quality dates that just taste amazing and are as fresh as possible. I always hated dates but when I tasted real fresh dates it was me and dates forever.

I usually Eat about 500calories of dates per day- in my morning smoothie and during the day I snack on seedless dates.

It was a long way for me to find the right dates in big quantities.

I buy them here: https://www.dattelbaer.at/ they ship in austria and germany so far. But they are also availabe in holland.

good luck hope it helped.

20 dates a time - what's that 20 dollars a milkshake?
I just made a smoothie with 4 manzano bananas 17 medjools and 750ml water and it is divine. The flavor of the manzanos really comes through. Yum.
