My dad had a consult with a dietician who told him bananas are the same as twinkies and that he should try to eat low carb. She recommended lean meats like bison.
He told me this as I was reaching for my third banana for my smoothie. I then asked, was she overweight? He said yes, she was and he explained how she had this attitude like he was a fool for questioning her.
I'm glad my pops is smart enough to know that comparing fresh fruit to twinkies is insane but unfortunately he's been eating bison burgers for years and that train doesnt seem to be slowing down, so you win some you lose some. lol. :sighhhh:
Well, at least he figured out that the dietician was wrong about the comparison.
I always find it frustrating when I'm forced (say, by the insurance company) to listen to health advice from truly unhealthy people. They either A. aren't following their own advice or B. follow their advice and get those terrible results.
It's particularly insulting when you are a healthy person.
Absolutely. It's baffling the level of sociopathy required for someone to be fat and unhealthy yet act as an expert in nutrition. Truly amazing.
Some humans can just turn off the part of the brain/heart that says "this is wrong." No wonder our whole civilization is surging off a cliff.
its an anti-sugar craze even the monkeys bananas have been taken away because too much sugar
banana bad butter good in moderation low on glycemic scale sugar is the devil
let's set up a charity to get stevia for fruit bats! they'r gonna get diabetes!
my mom makes awesome vegan food every night... which he spikes with freezer shimp and turkey meatballs! haha
This just goes to show how worthless the whole dietician field is and that some random joe could walk in off the street and give better advice based on common knowledge.
First order of biz, ditch that doc!
